There was no New York in 1986 Worldcon bid. But a few New York fans, led largely by Stu Shiffman, inaugerated a *hoax* bid, and even published a hoax program book for the Long Island Expressway Con (LIECon) later. I did a number of illos for them, including this "bid" promotion.

Not my favourite president, though there are three or four I like less.
I did see Eisenhower once. I was pretty young, and for some reason my folks were on a car trip to New York on the same day the president was in a parade. So I saw him drive by. I like Ike... at least reasonably well.
