With their initial mission to Sinnoh going awry before it even had a chance to begin, Lorne and the rest of his company nonetheless make the trip to Clearspring in the hopes that they can at least protect the town from whatever the Reclaimers have planned for it. While gaining the use of a fellow Rescue Team's base, River nonetheless still has trouble settling in and dealing with the guilt of her actions. As she seeks the solitude of the wilderness, something still seems off about the town, something unseen and unheard, a dark melody lilting through the streets and houses.

The first of four planned crossover chapters with
kingdomofgray, which was a long time coming but was still a great pleasure to work with. Just three days before the start of a new year as well, which was a goal that we had set together. We'll be working hard on the next three parts going into 2018, and I can't wait to see the story we've talked about come to fruition. Hope you all enjoy reading!

River and Kaiser go together peanut butter and Jelly - and between the two there is perfect 20/20 vision.
