I'm happy that Derek gave Mike a chance, and that they hit it off well. Shame Derek got fired from the newspaper, but understandable I guess.

I know it's never going to happen, but I really wish you also did an alternate timeline do this main plot that allowed the charges to be dropped against Derek. So we could see what would have happened after the court trial; maybe they get together? Maybe Scott's parents whisk him away, maybe he tells them to F*** off and he runs off with Scott. I feel these are going to be severely missed opportunities and while I'm glad they all moved on, each new cell you do on this comic breaks my heart even more about their lost chance at love. I know I'm asking for a cliche really, but it just hurts that this is the outcome.
