For generations the lamias of the island of Riyehma has settled in a prosperous primitive civilization. Despite their low technological advances comparing to rest of the world, they manage to survive the harsh reality in the small confines of land. With a matriarch govern society, Noria was the next in the bloodline to rule their small kingdom. And she was content and even proud for the last 2 years.

During her third year of ruling, as Noria was starting her morning stroll, something new had arrived on the shore. Approaching the area, she couldn't believe her sharp eyes. A group of individuals were exploring her land! They were equipped with strange devices that analyzed the area, and she didn't like what she see. She was really mad at first until she notice that the group were comprises of different species.

From that day forward she grew an interested with the explorers. Soon she then learn that they were scientists from a far away land. As she gain knowledge from the visitors, the more she wanted to learn about the outside world. So much so, she began to have a relationship with one of the scientists.

However, doing she broke one of the most important rules in the kingdom: it is prohibit to have a relationship with an outsider! Her people didn’t appreciate it, as they consider it as treason. No one should have direct contact to the outside world, even their superior. And so, as an act of humility, she was dethroned. After such she was send to the village, as she live among her people as a peasant. No longer was she a ruler of her kind, but merely a worm in their hierarchy.

Despite being in the same level as their people, she was treated poorly. Being dishonored in such a way damage her family reputation. It didn't bode well with Noria. She felt somber and disconnected from everyone she knew. It didn't help that she was being constantly accused for such dishonorable intercourse.

One day Noria had enough with the bad omen. She decided to leave the island with the help of the outsiders that caused her interest. In return, she will lend herself to be studied for a short time, since she was an unknown lamia variant. The scientists agreed, providing her with food and comfort until she found a suitable place to live among the vast new world.
