New year, new rates, new bits and bobs!
Quick FAQ:
What's Changed?
Quite a bit! Overall prices have gone up, but a lot of the finer points have either gone down or have more options than before. NSFW and Explicit rates have been rolled into one flat modifier. There's now a discount for fanart works, and special rates for character design work and alternate versions (for those of you who like your multitude of outfits, or the option to just forgo said outfit outright). There's also now a set rate for half-body and pony work, because somehow I lacked the latter, and the former keeps coming up. Ta-da! On the flip side, if you just want a basic sketch, those rates haven't changed in the slightest, though now there's set rates for if you want specific background work done and the like.
What Kind of Dollars Are These Dollars?
They are US Dollars. I sometimes forget there are other dollars, because I am one of those people.
When Are Your Commissions Open?
Basically always. If the backlog becomes such a thing that I need to close the gates for a bit, I'll let y'all know, but I've never quite gotten there yet.
Is the Pin-Up Special Still a Thing?
Sort of. Anything in the newly dubbed "Fancy-pants" tier automatically comes with some manner of hastily painted background (the background price is for upgrading to something that takes a bit more actual effort on my part). For a lot of you that seems to be more than enough, and that's basically what the Pin-Up special was giving you anyway. Same deal, just rolled into something else.
Are Expression Sheets Ever Coming Back?
At this point, an expression sheet essentially qualifies as a bunch of headshots. You can inquire about specific rates if you're interested, but keep in mind that the old rate of $50 for four rows is long gone - it just wasn't covering the amount of effort that goes into the things. I can probably cut a bulk deal since it's just the same character on repeat generally, but keep in mind that any given row at the quality they were before is going to come out to at least the price of an entire sheet before. Until I come up with a more workable format, that's kind of the state of it. (Also, their wait times are ridiculous; I still have one in my backlog from like a year ago. They're a lot of work!!)
What Qualifies as "Complicated"?
We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. I haven't had to invoke it in the three years or so I've had it listed as A Thing, so odds are most of you won't need to worry about it.
I'll ammend this with any other things that need saying if something comes up on any sort of routine basis. Thanks for your interest!
