The high priestess came into the garden. „Vicky i've heard that- ohhh!“ she stopped, looking at the green snake.
Vicky looked at her. „What have you heard, high priesssstesss?“ she asked.
„Your...your hood! Why issss it ssso big? And colorfull?“ the elder snake asked.
„My hood?“ Vicky replied and touched her hood. Indeed, it felt bigger. She bowed her head over the fountain to watch herself in the waters reflextion. Her hood was bigger. Usually the cobras hoods were as big as their tummy. But Vickys hood now reached over her shoulders, showing a texture of green and yellow like vines on it. „Oh“ said Vicky.
They went to the high priestesses room. „Vicky...i guesssss you're not a pure sssssnake anymore.“ The elder cobra said, coiling her tail on the carpet.
Vicky nodded. „I guess sssso. It'ssss like i became part plant...but i have no idea how. Maybe thissss plantvixen did ssssomething on me...“
„That'sss posssible. But dear, i want you to move to the ssssmall shrine at the nile.“
Vicky looked at the high priestess with big eyes. „Why? Why shall i move away from here? Are you afraid of me?“
The high priestess wrapped her tail tip around the green tail, brushing some of the new leaves. „I have to admit that i am not ssssure. I know you are a kind and honorfull Queen Cobra, dear Vicky. But your new...sssself...i guessss you firsssst have to become one with yourssssself. And“ she added after seeing how Vickys eyes filled with tears „i don't want the other cobras hurt or fear you...or being hurt“ she said, grabbing Vickys hands.
Vicky closed her eyes. The high priestess was right. Even if it has been fun to watch the palm tree drop coconuts on the annoying cobras, they could have been hurt. She nodded. „You are right. But...may i come back ssssometime?“
The high priestess smiled and nodded. „Of coursssse, dear. You're sssstill our ssssissster!“
She hugged Vicky. The green cobra cryed silently, spreading a soft scent of rose water from her tears.
„Oh no...don't cry dear“ the high priestess hissed softly and caressed Vickys head, noticing some small green leaves growing there. [i]„Your hood showssss me that Wadjet hersssself approvessss your transssformation, dear. That'ssss a big honor!“
Vicky nodded slowly. „Yessss...“
One day later Vicky moved to the small shrine. She found some ruins of an old egyptian house there and decided to move into.
Days and weeks went along, while Vicky learned to be a half plant now. Soon she became proud about her new being and she called herself the Plantcobra. She learned how she could „eat“ like a plant, consuming sunlight and water while laying on fresh dirt. She practiced growing leaves, vines, fruits out of nearby trees. And out of her own body.
Accepting her new being, she also started to change her look. On her head she proudly weared a crown of leaves growing out of her hood. Vines wrapped around her arms like natural bracelets. Sometimes she made herself a bikini of leaves growing around her breasts and a skirt of big leaves too.
One day she was sitting in the sun, her tail hanging into the nile. She thought about the city, her former life. A feeling grew inside her, like wanderlust. So she moved away from the small shrine, back to the city. She visited the temple of Wadjet, to meet her sisters.
Most of them were curious about Vickys transformation and asked her many questions. Some were suspicious about her new plant powers. But all of them were happy that Vicky was healthy.
But the temple wasn't enough. The feeling pushed her on. She said goodbye to her cobra sisters again and went to the city. There she slithered through the streets, until she arrived at the airport.
She took the next flight to europe, because she wanted to follow the plantvixen. Even if she had no idea where Flora could be, Vicky felt like that was the only right way.
When Vicky left the plane, she was overwhelmed. New people around her, new plants around her. The air was different, other smells and other weather. She found a small hotel with a nearby forest. She stayed there for some days. During daylight she went to the forest, to explore all the new plants around. About evening she returned to the hotel, eating with the other people there and talking about her new home country. Germany was totally different to egypt, much colder. But it was summer and the sun was even warm here.
After a few days Vicky decided to go to the city. She slithered along the shops, noticing the people watching her with curious gazes. She smiled and greeted them friendly, enjoying the attention. Then she came to a residential area and a excitement grew in her. It felt like she finaly arrived where she needed to be. But something was missing...
Suddenly she heard a purr and the flap of wings. She smiled. Now she know what was missing....
