Bluth’s career actually started out working for Disney, which is where he learned much of his chops.
Later, he, Gary Goldman and John Pomeroy started up Bluth studios. I believe one of the first things they did as an animation company was a small bit for the movie Xanadu. They also made Banjo the Woodpile Cat, then later went on to make their first full-length animated film called Secret of NIMH, which came out in 1982. :)
