Hiddson: Hello and welcome to another edition of Bandits Breakdown! Your post game coverage for all things, Las Vegas Bandits. Brett Hiddson, along with my co host Terrence Thursday. Bandits another tough loss last week that they have to put behind them as they go on the road to take on the Chicago Outlaws.
Thursday: Yeah back in week one was when they last met, Bandits felt that they had a chance to get that win but they ran out of time trying to get that comeback. Seems like a broken record when just last week they tried another comeback but fell short of time to do so. So the Bandits have to do a better job not just hanging around in games but to take over these games and play a complete 60 minutes.
*cue highlights*
Hiddson: Bandits have that week one loss still in their memory a bit it seems for the worse as the first drive for the Bandits... Stapler getting sacked by Nate Mills for the 3 and out. Bandits make it better the next drive though Stapler finding Cortes for nine... R.V.A. for sixteen … Miyumi for twelve. Nice catches from each of them and leads to an early field goal for the desert desperadoes.
Thursday: Next Bandits drive... Grates, getting called for the facemask leading to this second down gem.
KLVB Radio: Stapler drops back to pass... looking for Viridi-Aqua... and caught, breaks the tackle near the sideline... one to beat... and he's not gonna catch him! Touchdown Bandits! 41 yards... and a strong effort by R.V.A.
Thursday: Later on the Outlaws would respond with a big play from Mitchell taking 30 yards, and Tremblay taking care of the rest with a tough run. Outlaws wouldn't stop there as Smith lasers one to Olen Reuyters for another touchdown. Bandits finding themselves down 14-10 at the half.
Hiddson: Second half and the Outlaws trying to add to the momentum...
KLVB Radio: 2nd and 10, Smith drops back to pass, Oh my... Kelley Rowe breaking by the O-Line to bring down Darius Smith with a huge hit for her third sack of the season!
Hiddson: Big play as it loses 6 yards and Bandits offensive unit wanting to thank the defensive captain in their own way...
KLVB Radio: Stapler play fakes Vernon... looking for Viridi-Aqua... Caught! Touchdown! *crowd groans and boos* 27 yards... and a beautiful one-handed catch from Roy Viridi-Aqua, you'll see that on some highlight reels for a while.
Hiddson: Big play from R.V.A! Bandits back in the lead. Wouldn't hold though thanks to two ensuing field goals for Chicago.
Thursday: Fourth Quarter and Renato Hanna finding a huge return after another field goal from Chicago. 86 yards and tremendous field position, but a bad drop by Stephen Harris and the Bandits settle for getting a field goal back.
Hiddson: Bandits down three looking for something to spark another comeback bid...
KLVB Radio: Smith drops back to pass and complete to Frank, and Sierra... OH big hit to Frank and the ball is loose! Both sides dog piling to the ball best they can... refs breaking up the pile... BANDITS BALL! Bennie Sierra forcing and recovering the fumble and a huge takeaway for the desperadoes of the desert!
*4 plays later*
KLVB Radio: 2nd and 13 now... Stapler drops back to pass, finds Miyumi cutting right... complete! First down and more... breaks one tackle, gets balances near the sideline... no whistle... end zone... Touchdown Bandits! They're going to review that big time that was down the Outlaws sideline and they are screaming that Miyumi stepped on the line 12 yards back.
*refs review the play and just barely enough daylight between foot and the line *
Ref: After review... the receiver stayed in bounds, call is confirmed. Touchdown.
Hiddson: And that would be your final score. Bandits get a huge win 27-23! Big game from the big players in Stapler, Rowe, and Sierra.
Thursday: 3 touchdowns for Sylvester Stapler and looking more and more comfortable these past few weeks. Even if the playoffs aren't in the cards for this team, they won't be an easy game if Stapler is on his game. Rowe and Sierra busy day for both of them, Rowe with 12 tackles and a sack, Sierra 11 tackles and the key forced fumble which he also recovered. Excellent game from all three and they had to be against a team like Chicago.
Hiddson: And with that we'll take a short break, but when we return, post game pressers and a look at the upcoming match up between the Bandits and the Texas Ramblers.
