Hurrah! Just in time to close out 2017, we have the milestone 800th episode of the Winterbough Saga! Many thanks to all who have supported me since this began. Your reactions to the story are what keep me going.
In tonight's episode, the Master of Elfhame has a meeting with the Grand Duke of Vulpes-Vulpes and the Prince Consort of Kennelford. It's a business meeting; and the business involves the identity of the femme that's going to marry the Grand Duke. Apparently, it's a source of vigorous betting in the tiny realm. Not to mention possible Vulpitanian involvement and manipulation.

William has fulfilled the great potential that we saw in him even at a quite young age. He has formality, humour, magik, presence, practicality and respect all covered. He does not hesitate to take the oportunity to to acknowledge his debt to The Master in the only way he can while both he and Westersloe are restricted by their current situations. Even when he knows he needs Westersloe's almost uncanny reputation for getting involved in situations like this, he ensures that there is a graceful escape if it is felt that honour could be impinged. No wonder Estvan considers him his second best student (likely too formal and lacking in japes for his taste... no exceptions would be made for the restrictions of the role of a Grand Duke).
