Another shot of my scale mail glove, reaching towards something or other.
The only big problem I've got with it is the section that's supposed to go up your wrist is subjected to this thing called gravity that makes it sag like you see in this picture.
Again, stainless steel small scales, not for sale.

http://studsandspikes.com/buy/claw-.....-bag-of-5.html Those would work well for claws, a friend has them on his fursuit and they look quite vicious. Plus should match the finish of the TRL scales with out much diffrence.
Well, sadly gloves like these are infeasible to make for other people. It's the sort of project where if you're learning chainmail, making a glove will force you to improve your skills greatly, so it's something I recommend people try on their own. But it would be almost impossible to make one for someone without having their hand there to build on.
I wouldn't say there's a definite "best" size for gloves. The main constraint is just that the weave needs to be flexible enough in the direction that the fingers are going to bend it. This one was made with just the normal recommended rings for use with The Ring Lord's small scales (18 gauge 3/16" inner diameter). I've also made a glove with 16 gauge 1/4" inner diameter rings, using rubber rings to let it be more conforming: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4842942/
(I have made a glove which was actually pretty functional in terms of dexterity etc. -- this one: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/4842942/
The rubber makes it much more flexible, and also gives it good friction.)
