Ariel is one of two special Absols. She was separated from her sister Aurel at a young age and used for experimentation, eventually forcing her to work for evil. After confronting Neo and Aurel, she was defeated and purified back to her normal self. Now she lives in the Magic Academy with her sister, and has considered learning a bit of magic as well.
