In the arenas and coliseums where the gladiators still fight as in the days of old, Dragons, among all other creatures are the most highly revered and sought after by the senate and consul members who house such battle hardy slaves as a source of both amusement and servitude. This is especially true in the case of Darrock Wingsforgeds master, Ramirus, who keeps Darrock close to him no so much because of the other senates, desire to have him, or the need for constant amusement…but for the fact he loves and desires him as well. Darrock returns this love, despite the odd circumstance in which the two met, Ramirus’ father, having purchased several dragon hatchlings…only to find several were sick, leaving Darrock the sole survivor of the lot. Growing up as children, Ramirus’ heart wept for the way Darrock was abused, and he vowed that when he was in his fathers’ seat at the consul, he would better treat the gladiator wyvern to be. Darrock soon found he had feelings for Ramirus, his kind and compassionate nature, so different from all the other maters he saw roaming about his land. The hardest thing in Windforgeds’ life was telling Ramirus how he felt, and yet the happiest moment was to follow as well…when Ramirus admitted he shared the same feelings. Though out in the open, they still both play the part of master and slave, behind closed doors they are the closest, and most tightly bound of lovers.
