A new year, a new toy... even tho this one looks a bit familiar somehow~
Much like Sticks in this, I do have a new toy to play around with, a new tech that you might have noticed in this image... Soft body physics! What is that? It's as simple as it looks, makes an object have collision with another one, bending and molding to it's shape... So before this, if I were to make this same image, stick's toes would just go through Knuckles and the floor, tho I usually make sure that it still looked nice... but now, I can just do a simple simulation and the toes and soles will bend to fit the space, squishing around the round head of the little echidna, or softly lay against the hard floor.
This might not be as noticeable on all renders, but it's amazing for close-ups, or these situations where the feet should be interacting with someone or something... More than anything it's one more tool at my disposal, and I can't wait to explore the naughty possibilities this can be used for~ ;P
