This is sort of a mini-cafeteria where they sell food and drinks? Pretty nice!

its a break room. like some places at work.
the one thing probably not much of in this world is the bento vendo takes a thumb print instead of money.
so it can know to only dispense one box lunch per person once or twice a day.

the coffee is of course free too. somebody just needs to refill the coffee maker.

the tools and work spaces that are in here also,
is probably because they ran out of room for them anyplace else.

The only problem I see with the bento vendo is what if the residents don't HAVE fingers...much less fingerprints? (Like that...resident (I'm guessing) that's directly in front of it?) They'd be pretty much out of luck, wouldn't they?

he's got retinas. actually i think everyone has some uniquely identifiable surface area.
(though i could be mistaken, as i can always be about anything)
and some sort of appendages they can use as hands and fingers.
even retractable claws can be used for fine manipulation.

groclets, i've never really tried to figure out what they do.
i know they can use two or three of their eye stalks at the same time like a hand to pick things up with.
but i think they might eat through their feet like a plant, and absorb energy from light also.

Sounds doable to me. And "Groclets", eh? A good name for them.
