This one is a surprise gift for my niece who's turning 8 in about a week :) She lives in a different state than me, so I don't see her very often. But she's seen my dolls a few times and she always likes them. My mom was the one who told me I should make a unicorn specifically. It was an interesting project to work on, with such freedom of design. I actually googled "unicorn amigurumi" to get ideas of what other people have done. I went through and decided on characteristics like "do I want it to be standing on four legs or sitting? Multicolor mane and tail or solid color? Different color for hooves or not?" Also it's a little hard to tell in the pictures, you can see it a bit better in the closer up shot, the white yarn has a sparkly fiber that runs through it.

I really love the outcome, and I have a feeling I'll be making more than just this one!
