I've had this idea for a while ever since I listened to the vocal bootleg edit of 4ware.

From Vayu's perspective, he is not alive. But, he is sentient ("aware"). This places him on the same level as the other sentient beings in that, being aware of ones own existence allows (forces, really) individuals to construct their own purpose and meaning rather than follow baseline biological ("programmed") functions like reproduction, survival, or whatever the mindless whispers of code were created for. This, however, then alludes to the as-of-yet unsolved (unsolvable?) mystery of how consciousness comes to be - how a collection of cells, or seemingly random segments of code, can operate together and form a sentient and aware individual.

I dunno. It's too friken' late for this crap rn and I'm just typing whatever comes to my head. I suspect that Geth would be interesting philosophers. Duco Ergo Sum, I calculate, therefore I am, and whatnot.
