I love your smile. I love how you make me laugh. i love that even though I can't cook, operate a washer or a dryer, or even survive on my own, you don't hang it over my head. I'm no supermodel, but you don't seem to mind. I love your fuzzy chin, and the way your chest rises and fals when you sleep. You're incredible; you're unbelievably intelligent, funny, and you know how to make me smile even when I don't want to. I love the way you smell. You're half the reason I draw. I can't thank you enough for everything you've ever done for me. You got me to live again. You taught me that not everyone is the same; that there are people--like you!--that are so much more than they seem. You're my wolf, not just in the protective sense, but in a guiding sense. This past year has been more than I ever could have dreamed of, a journey that's taken me so many places--physically, mentally, and spiritually. You are perfect--because you are imperfect. I don't care that you don't live in a mansion, have billions of dollars, or a Harvard education. I love you. Without your personality, you wouldn't be the same person I know and love, even if you had all that. There's just no other way to say: "I love you." Here's to one year, and hopefully longer!

Yup. July 18th, 2009 marked one year together for Loki and I. I drew this up a few days before our anniversary weekend, but then my car died and I couldn't finish it properly. I hope to one day color it like I wanted to, but for now it remains black and white. I do kind of like plain black and white pieces.

But um... here's feral Loki and Jaslyn. I chose ferals because that's the natural form of a fox and wolf--and I feel that Loki and I have a very natural, easygoing relationship. I wanted a nature scene because we both love nature, and the leaves falling kind of remind me of a blanket, or some kind of shower of love. There's just something pure about approaching a personal piece with as natural a look as possible. The only unnatural bit I gave it was the pillows and Loki's necklace and beard. He didn't look like himself without the necklace. The pillows were going to say Loki on the left and Jaslyn on the right--to show that we have given ourselves to each other, and together, we're like one person.
