I ...wanna make some more of these.
Sega dreamcast is super important to me. One of my favourite consoles.
He's super upbeat and happy. Blissfully unaware of how badly he'll do in the market. Also hes european cause the blue dreamcast is much prettier, fight me.

It's essentially a Dungeon Crawler RPG with several characters, and the ability to capture monsters and set up to 2 of them as party members (even during the current dungeon run, when advancing to the next floor).
The (european) translation for the game is another thing though... Like character names being translated in the text, but not the names below the portaits, or some menu items still being in english with maybe a translation of the corresponding language.
It has some minor problems and the dungeon are very long and only get longer and longer with each new "world".
The first (non-tutorial) dungeon for example takes 30 minutes to complete.
But then again the "training" of monsters is what makes this game enjoyable.
Each new dungeon showing you a new monster where you just go "OH I WANT THIS!"
Sadly the game got mediocre review scores and probably just wasn't that well recieved for not being "the next phantasy star" or "the final fantasy killer".
It is the only DC game I have right now, that can put games onto my VMU. Speaking of which, the VMU was so ahead of it's time, but with the same problems of thing that are "ahead of it's time". Namely the battery that only lasted less than a week or when lucky maybe two to three (in standby).

Aaaahhh. Even if it got average reviews, I think i would still enjoy it. I tend to like games that no-one else likes xD and dungeon games can be fun~
the VMU is my favourite feature tbh, its so cute! And very unique compered to other memory cards. Its a shame it never really took off, but i do kind of want to collect all the different coloured ones.

The late 90s to early 00s were such an awesome time for games. 60 fps was a standard, budgets were manageable and encouraged experimentation, and it was a real jump from the previous generation. I also think that the lack of forced internet connectivity also helped to keep corporations from meddling in your life...
I also strongly agree with the use of the blue swirl, blue > anything else.
