Gender roles are prominent in society, regardless of the situation—be it in the workplace, at home, or at the supermarket. While most of society has begun to progress beyond the negative connotations associated with these gender roles, their drawbacks are still made plain in the Adult Baby culture. Although males make up the vast majority of “littles” in the babyfur community, many females also enjoy the pleasures which come with diapers and a second childhood. However, many would agree, that they are either seen as sex objects, or as though a caretaker role is expected of them. “I can see why folks think we should be caretakers,” Breena, a local diaper-loving woman commented. “After all, we’re given dolls to practice being mommies from the time we can walk. Guys aren’t really given the same sort of training or whatever, so I guess it makes sense. I just wish it wasn’t so hard to find someone to treat me like I’m little too.” Meanwhile, another young woman named Itazura feels she is often objectified in diapers. “I’m sometimes a little leery of posting my pictures online,” she said. “I keep getting all sorts of guys making sexual comments on pictures I post. Some of them even think it’s ok to contact me in private and act as though they’re my daddy, and they don’t even ask if it’s alright.” An anonymous woman added, “I’ve gone to babyfur parties dressed in a bright-pink tutu and a cartoon T-shirt, and people still expected me to ‘be the mommy.’ If that’s not enough to telegraph ‘I’m in cub mode,” I’m not sure what is.” Regardless of a person’s gender or identity, everyone should remain respectful of their personal boundaries, and their interests, and refrain from making assumptions based upon their appearances. After all, a happy baby does not become a fussy baby easily.

i do too unfortunately most don't get a chance to hang with female babyfurs so the moment they meet me its like please mommy me i've never met a girl before and then you cant really say no because you feel bad if yo[u rob them the experience but on the other hand id like to be able to go to a party with out playing the part of every ones mommy
