Really good idea! Just as a heads up though if its PLA plastic then it tends to warp or bend at about 25-40 degrees celsius because it has a low melting point. If you want to make a fursuit base which can handle plenty of warmth more easily ABS plastic would be best ^_^ (just as a forethought).

But be warned ABS is a little dangerous in fumes and smells bad, so make sure where you print it its well ventilated, the benefit is ABS has a far higher melting point so it can handle external and internal heat fairly well~

i know that bt printing large parts like this is very hard especially on a printer without an enclosure

Mhmm I hope it didnt come off as like a "know-it-all" comment. I just like to help wherever I can ^_^. And yeah I agree an enclosure helps control the ambient temp around the print be more stable and stops less warping mid print as well.

Why would you need a "temperature proof" head? o:
ABS is a bitch to print, especially large parts.

IMHO PLA would be durable enough for a head o: can't imagine a scenario where I'd expose my head to >50°C

I have one answer Australia, we have to heat proof our stuff here XD (jsut thinking in the long term dont forget constant 35 degree heat will wear it down too)

That is why this is just an experimental head, then i will really know for sure how easily pla melts
