So, something I want to try to do this year is to break the paralyzing fear of doing personal artwork. I have become so focused on the work I do for others, I will feel guilty if I do anything for myself before it's all done. I often can't finish personal artwork unless it has an important purpose, and when I do work on it I stress out and fret. It used to be fun, but I let the fear of people saying I should be drawing for them because I owe them art take that joy away from me. This sadly means I don't do studies to improve anymore, either, which is soooo bad cause I really want to improve more.
So, despite much struggle, I did a personal sketch. I'd like to keep doing one maybe every week or so, in addition to my commissions, to try to break this funk that's holding me back.

I think that's a great idea. I also do most of my learning through personal works; I worry about being too experimental with commissions, because what if it comes out badly or something? Personal art I don't have to worry about anyone's opinion but my own, I feel like I can ask for critique more freely.
Also I dunno if I've ever said it but I like Meez's ears, gives her a kinda jackal/Egyptian look.
