Since people kept asking about the condition and the bell in Violet's reference sheet I thought I'd throw this together to explain them both. Hopefully this clear up a few things with it all.
EDIT: fixed a buttload of typos.

Ah, that's something I forgot to mention. It generally has a short effective transmission range, but walking past another with the condition (unlikely as it is) would probably give them a sudden migrane. The reason the frequency would cause an episode of improperly calibrated is due to the range and strength of the frequency during the calibration process.
Well, the frequency itself is rather low-level, and so very short range. As such, any device that emits it would be worn around the head or neck for the most direct stimuli. Outside of that range it's just not strong enough to transmit far enough unless it's seriously boosted - in Violet's case that would be striking the bell, but that's also a much sharper and sudden frequency.
Now, while different sufferers have different frequencies, the differences are fairly minute and the actual devices themselves are rarer than the sufferers. The chances of two with the condition encountering each other may be moderately rare (depending on circumstance, of course), but the chances of them both having a suppression device is pretty slim, and the chances of them interfering with each other (due to transmission range) are miniscule.
Also, since it's a high frequency transmission the 'other end of the specutrum' would pretty much be regular low-level and low-frequency sound, which doesn't do anything to affect the condition. Just as well, since most sound is rather low-frequency.
It's probably best to consider it to be kinda like ultrasound but on more targetted frequencies, or like that electrical whining you might hear when you turn on a TV. Some can hear it (unfortunately for me I hear it with a lot of electricals like TVs and badly tuned speakers and it HURTS) and some don't notice it at all.
FYI, I just BS'ed most of that but that's kinda how stuff gets developed :) Gave me an angle to consider there.

Little late for me to find this a post on this, but it almost sounds like she's suffering from a condition I have. I have blackouts occasionally, and I've been diagnosed with Berserker Syndrome, and while it take a lot of stress and constant anger to reach that point, it usually ends in the sufferer not remembering what they did or where they are, and by the time they get burnt out they are so tired that they collapse. Idk, I actually find it cool that you came up with this, mostly because it's more specific to the species barrier. Wouldn't make sense for a normal "human" syndrome to affect Anthro creatures in the same way.
And actually, I feel kinda like a dick for posting that. I didn't know about the syndrome until about a couple years ago when I was doing psycho-therapy workouts. Wish I had a way to keep it down like her bell, the only known way to control the syndrome is to keep yourself away from stressful things and places. I hope that my post didn't cause any problems with your ideas or story, I wrote it initially because it made me think of how true it could possibly be, and then it posted because my computer freaked... -_- Regardless, I do really like your definition.
