In the New World, there are more than just major factions. There are minor ones too, including a rather new one that appeared in Japan in 2026.

The Chūgoku (Estimated 4,238 members): A faction born from revolution, the Chūgoku fight for the people. After a fox named Makoto Nagataki singlehandedly wiped out an entire Japanese Freedom Cross base, the citizens of Japan had gained the courage to fight against the Freedom Cross and their terrible reign over southern Japan themselves. The Raider's Revolution ended in 2029 when the Chūgoku successfully drove the Freedom Cross out of Japan, although Makoto wouldn't have been able to see it at the time, since he was forced to flee in 2028 after a disaster at the Chūgoku HQ. The HQ was later moved to southern Taiwan where Makoto lived for over two years. Under Makoto's leadership, the Chūgoku grew to be more than just a Japanese rebel group. The Chūgoku were noticed by much larger factions such as the I.G.A. and the R.S.U., and offered to help the Chūgoku fight against the Freedom Cross in other regions like Korea and parts of China. The Chūgoku quickly became a group of peacekeepers and freedom fighters, assisting their allies and those in need from the cruel bandits of the wasteland.

In 2031, Makoto had gathered up funding for construction of the first space station since the bombs dropped. With the help of I.G.A. engineers, the Chūgoku would be able to construct a colony vessel to be sent to space. In 2034, about 1,000 Chūgoku members, including their leader Makoto, were sent into space to voyage into the vast unknown. This would make the Chūgoku the first faction to travel into space, along with the I.G.A.. The Chūgoku hope to colonize planets such as Ceres or Mars in an attempt to start anew, away from the ruined planet known as Earth. Only time will tell if this space mission is successful.
