The design reminded me more of the female cat from Kidd Video. A short lived cartoon series where a guy from The Flip Side would steal musicians from the real world and pull them into his. He had three helpers, two male cats and one female.

It didn't last long on Saturday Morning cartoons because there were problems I think with them using music from artists without permission or something like that. Still a neat cartoon series.
