Leucis and Felicia as kids~ Berkley got his daughter a huge book full of fairy tales to keep her occupied when she was little, since he was dealing with a lot of stuff involving the Order and couldn't spend as much time as he wanted with her. When Leucis came into the family, he and Felicia would read the book before bedtime. His personal favorite was "little red riding hood", which still remains his favorite to this day.
"Temptation, can I talk to you for a second?" Berkley adjusted his cloak, turning to the tiefling woman.
"Of course," she replied, stepping to the side, leaving the children on the floor as they read. "What is it?"
"Would there be any possibility that... I could take care of the boy?" he asked, lowering his voice to barely above a whisper.
Temptation raised her eyebrows, clearly surprised. "Berkley, I don't think you could take care of another child. You've barely any time for Felicia anymore, now that we've been recruiting more members and expanding the headquarters..."
"Well we can't just let him live in a brothel-- and god forbid we let him back onto the streets, he's not safe out there," he replied, gesturing one arm to the door across the room.
"The Order is already a hectic place to be raising Felicia. What makes you think taking in an orphan from the streets will be any better?"
The two adults turned toward the kids now, realizing that they had gone quiet. Both of them were asleep now, with the illustrated book still open between them. Berkley smiled to himself and muttered, "I think they'd make good company for each other amongst the hustle and bustle. What do you think, Temptation?"
Temptation sighed in irritated defeat. "Fine. But you better make damn sure you work twice as hard to spend time with both of them. They both need a good parent."
