And we're back! After a year of Patreon stuff I've decided to start up Kingspine again! Consider this a reboot since I've had many ideas since I started and wanted a clean slate to work with!
Welcome back to those who were interested in the comic before and to those new faces, just a plain old welcome! Kingspine is a comic project that me, and my close friend Sly have worked very hard on. This is very much a passion project between the two of us that we both hope you enjoy reading! Overall though, this comic and story will definitely be a very long-form kind of thing as the two of us continue to expand the world and tell more stories. In particular I wasn't happy with the direction of that comic. My art style has developed a lot over the past year after doing so many images in that time span, so picking up where I left off just didn't really feel feasible. Also, the old comic just kinda jumped into kinky pornography without any real story or character development. I wanted Kingspine, as a comic, to have more of an air of intrigue and mystery to it, the kinky stuff just an added aside. Third, I felt starting in medias res might have been a poor choice, as a lot of the plot elements Sly and I have in mind revolves around established elements that would require the comic to have a ton of flashbacks and exposition that I ultimately decided would make the comic feel unplanned and wordy rather than coherent and organic. Lastly, and this one is a surprisingly big part of it, I wasn't happy with how I was drawing Sly. I was drawing this when I should have been drawing this.
So in other words, learning from mistakes and hoping to build a better story, both in narrative and visuals!

That sounds absolutely reasonable.
Better have a planned out story, in which the characters develop with the story rather than a story that needs flashbacks to portray why a character is how he is.
I'd really love to see a story evolving around kinks and kinks only. But that's mostly because I like porn xD
I'm eager to see how this "new" Kingspine will turn out.
