You like snow and mountains?

*Gene approaches, wearing his hat, scarf and wool coat; He has a backpack and a long, wooden hiking pole==looks like he wants to explore the snowy mountain trails. Will you come with?*

Then we must go a-hunting, for to procure a skin for you to wear! Have you a sword?

Well, that's no good!

*Gene thinks for a moment; he hands you his wooden stick*

You can use this to challenge the woolly rhinoceros--they are abundant down in the valley.

If you win, you can wear its wool; the meat could be used to feed hungry furries!

Will you fight the woolly rhinoceros?

All right!

*you and Gene proceed to the valley; once there, you see a heard of very big (and mean) woolly rhinoceros!

We need a plan. Have you any ideas?

Good idea!

How about we sneak around behind it--then pounce it from behind and slam it with the stick?

*The woolly rhinoceros seems unaware of your presence; it flips its tail back and forth as the other end snorts at the snow; a bird suddenly lands atop the woolly rhinoceros, looking at you! The woolly rhinoceros supplies the bird with lice to eat, so the bird intends to warn the rhino...

Do you retreat or attempt to wack the bird?

*a swing and a miss! The bird squawks loudly, rousing the woolly rhinoceros to action! It turns around, intending to ram you with its horn*

Do you run or fight?

*the woolly rhinoceros gives chase! Seeing you're in danger, Gene rushes in to try to help, but falls over under the weight of his backpak (he should have taken it off)! The woolly rhinoceros notices, and decides Gene will be easier to step on than you. It runs in Gene's direction!*

Do you keep running, or try to help Gene?

*the woolly rhinoceros turns away from you to step on Gene--you take the opportunity to jump on its back*

Do you hit it with the stick, or try to ride it?

*You suceed in slamming the woolly rhinoceros. It's dead now--Gene is safe! He hugs you! ^_^*

You and Gene build a fire to keep the animals away wile you and he go to the village to tell everyone about your victory.
The villagers are overjoyed! They will eat tonight, and will make for you a coat from the woolly rhinoceros*

Do you accept the coat and feast with the villagers?

And so ends part one of our adventure--Tardis55 has a woolly coat and can now conquer the mountains!

That was fun, but I need to wind down for sleep soon. We will continue another time, ok?
