I hand painted this logo with the help of my friends in my unit. The overall idea for a new MAG logo was from our former CO to sort of welcome our new CO into the unit (forgive me for not giving their names).

The line art was drawn up by Cpl Gaines.

I did the first coat of red and blue on the banner, painted the image if Iraq in the background, did the highlights on the Diamond, Eye, Banner, Beak and Talons. I did all the work on the Globe, Anchor and Rope. All shading was also done by me.

Cpl Cappelano did all the work on the letters, snd coat on the banner, the Eagle, letter and diamond (other than highlights) and helped with the 1st coat of red on the banner.

All colors were custom mixed using acrylic paints from Red, Acia, Blue, Black, Burnt Sienna and White.

The image is really large when full viewed so you can see all the details in the painting.
