Akamu was born an islander for his very early life but his small nation was conquered by a much larger one known as Krom. He was taken by them and eventually sold off to be raised and trained as a gladiator. The only reminder of his original homeland being the tattoo on his gut.
He took on the last name of his late owner, Gallius who helped hone him into a deadly fighter he is now, all the way to the end of his life.
Akamu had many troubles training and adapting to combat. As a gladiator, it was expected to use weapons and sometimes master several. However, Akamu was horrible with any weapon he was given. It all felt unnatural to him and awkward. With little hope, he was sent to a smaller arena to fight. After quickly being disarmed, he managed to fight back and completely overwhelm his opponent through hand to hand combat. From then on, Akamu relied only on his own body to fight and became a huge success. As his fame grew, so did his resources. He began to train in several martial arts and was able to develop his own style which made the best out of his raw strength and increasing girth (from the many rewards he was getting for his victories)
When his owner passed, he sought out more ways to be combat efficient and learn to master magic of his elemental affinity, Earth.
Working his way up to the largest colosseum in Krom, Akamu first one battles swiftly and brutally when needed. When he was confident enough to know that he could hold his own against most odds he worked on entertaining the crowd. Being a good fighter is one thing but for a gladiator, they are also expected to put on a show.
He began to wear extravagant, yet non inhibiting, clothing and armor, with the colors of Krom, which would clang and jingle with each attack he made. That combines with chubby body which would sway with him and an effective "dance" fighting style he developed, every attack he did had more impact visually and audibly. His efforts won the favor of his nation and he quickly became a celebrity, almost a national icon. He was a champion and a glorious representation of the might of Krom. He was given a life of absolute luxury and he really did enjoy the fame and his battles.
He had won his freedom as he rose to the very top...but knowing no other life he stayed as the uncontested champion of the colloseum.
A new pokemon character arises! Seeing kommo-o, I already knew he would be perfect with this larger size. Expect to see him a lot more, I REALLY love this guy.
Many MANY thanks to the always wonderful makogu
