Hey guys, it's time for another one for the month! Went with my favorite one for the second round. Had a lot of these smokes and it was about time to give it a review. Let's get to it!
Romeo Y Julieta Reserve Titan Tubo:
Wrapper: Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Honduras / Nicaragua
Pre-Light/Construction:
When looking at the box of tubos, the overall neatness and organized appearances was like the Reserva Real tubos, but a little more elegant and royal looking. Brown and Gold shimmered in the light. Upon opening the tubo, I was met once again with Plume all over
and I smiled saying, "Good Age." Even though a corona size, The smell of Cedar was immense and few pepper notes as well. The wrapper besides the plume was still a little bit oily but the age made it look like an old treasure. The seems and veins were slightly present. The Pre-Draw was smooth and not too loose.
The Burn Part 1:
The draw was great and a lot of smoke came out. Massive amounts of pepper notes began to come out in a mid level body. Almost like white pepper, but more leveled. A bit of cedar came along with it. More natural notes from the cedar than sweet, giving it more of a relaxed feel. The flow was still going smooth and even burning was apparent. Soon afterward before the end of the first 3rd, some rich nutmeg notes hopped aboard. Must be a beginning to the sweet notes to come along.
The Burn Part 2:
The next round was a little more relaxed in taste. The pepper notes dwindled a bit and more natural oak notes combined a bit with the cedar. The nutmeg dwindled a bit giving it a less rich sensation. Still was a very smooth medium body. Not much else changed.
The Burn Final:
With the final draw coming near, I was in a state of pure relaxation while I was typing up a review. I had a conversation off and on with a couple of cigar folks in between breaks of typing. I never felt more relaxed with this stick. I even had a Jameson to blend in with my pallet. Not much has changed at this point. Still in a relaxed state. As the last draw came the final note to claim victory was the cedar oak combo. I smiled and took another swig of my Jameson.
Verdict:
Still to this very day this stick is my favorite of the line. Nice and calm describes the overall feel. If you ever see any of these, practically buy a whole box and have them anytime of the day. You won't be disappointed. :D
