This ugly is cobbled together from the entire aft end of an X-Wing, the eyeball (cockpit pod) of a TIE Fighter or similar TIE series craft and the side cannons from an A-Wing. Despite these craft having hyperdrives, they are only used in a last ditch effort to get away as in the majority of cases, the onboard hyperdrive has been known to explode violently when activated.
