Beyond creating a spectacle for the awe of those around to witness, Hellfarch loves being big simply for the sake of it. When he is several miles tall, even something as simple as laying down takes on such different sensations; the ground beneath him has a subtle give under his weight, he can feel the squirming of any unlucky souls caught underneath his body being pressed into his back, kept alive and out of pain so they can fully appreciate the immeasurable mass on top of them. Stratus clouds gently float over him, just close enough for him to stir around with his claws or blast away with a swift breath. He can almost feel the rotation of the planet underneath him, as if he is the one who had started it spinning in the first place and simply hopped on for the ride. It all adds up to a feeling of relaxation like no other, and it never takes Hellfarch long before he ends up dozing off for the rest of the day.
When posing Hellfarch for this picture, I knew that only his feet would be in the shot but I decided to pose the rest of him just for fun, even though his body went clear off of the city scene since he was so massive. I ended up liking the pose enough that I decided to duplicate the landscape to give enough surface for him to lay on, and experimented with rendering clouds using displaced image planes, which I feel turned out pretty good! I tried putting the little wolf guy from last image on his pec, but Hellfarch is so freaking huge that said wolf guy isn't even visible in the render.
I guess this is also the first time we have a clear shot of his beautiful new pants! They will be a semi-permanent replacement to his kilt/loincloth getup, which was very unwieldy for posing and always required a lot of tedious tweaking to keep it from clipping into everything or bending out at odd angles.

Sorry man, but the kilt has just been too unwieldy for posing. It clips through darn near everything and trying to adjust it is very tedious. I might go back to it at some point since I haven't tried every potential solution I can think of, but for now giving him pants just makes things so much easier to work with.
