Stan Marsh grew up fast, and he grew up hard. Adults in South Park were always more trouble than they were worth, so he learned how to look out for himself and for his friends. These skills, honed over years of childhood, served him well during the war. During Operation: Desert Storm III: The Stormening, Sgt. S. Marsh was sent to rescue a body of POWs captured by Satan and his boyfriend Hussein. Among them.... was Eric Cartman.
The reunion was bittersweet. Sweet, because Cartman had been ravaged by the tortures of Hussein and psychologically scarred. Bitter, because Marsh had to listen to the lardass open his mouth. Still, Marsh had a job to do. Hauling the still-obese Cartman over his shoulder, he made the eight hundred mile trek back to the extraction point, along with the other sixty POWs he'd rescued single-handedly that day.
And that's how Stan Marsh got so muscular.
