moreeee hairless cats <3 me like! and also cat faces are super hard to draw - you are a champ.
I love the blue dragon enxt to the cat sketch too - really lovely teel / color and lonnnng legs.
The critter beneath that is sorta wolf like in color - I really like the direction you were taking with the markings and the tail and neck crest.
It is super interesting to me how you approach paintings in different ways - least it looks like it - some you rough in colors, others with lines first - I just really want to watch you work on stuff. I love it all. and your gift for compositions and making characters look like they are in the scene not just drawn on paper is mind boggling to me - any tips? I know lots and lots of practice !!!
I LOVEEEE the blue / starry sky one - the lighting on the dragon there is just gorgeous.
The yellow dragon bust is fun to see you try more colors in addition to the yellow / manta ray type dragon as well!
I love the way any time you draw a dragon with antlers or horns they attach so naturally - they flow out of the head - and I admire that a ton - mine always look stuck on!

Yay! ^__^ Yeah, they are very cute! And nuu, I used references for those. c:
Yes! Teal and turquoise colors are always good! <3 And I'm also happy with the design of the canine creature there, even though it's very simple. :>
Hah, good observation skills! :D Yeah, I experiment a lot with different drawing techniques. Sometimes it's easier for me to start with colors and shapes right away and sometimes I need a sketch first. It really depends on what I want to draw and how clear the image is that I've in mind.
Yep, practice is always good! But at first comes understanding of what you're doing. There's a lot to remember when painting and that all comes with practice and knowledge. Fundamentals are important, like form and perspective, lightsources and shading, color theory and values, composition, anatomy and probably a few more things that I can't remember right now. While painting you'll remember most of those things anyway without thinking too much about it! :>
A good tip for making characters look like they belong in the background scene is to remember the direction of your main lightsource and the reflective light of the sky and surroundings. On the two red dragons above I've added a grey/blueish reflective light from the sky on the areas that aren't hit by a direct lightsource like the sun. So, it's good to remember that everything can act like a new lightsource if the intensity of the light that hits a surface is bright enough, and in this case, the color of the light that gets emitted by that surface will have the color of the surface itself. ^_^ Hm, I'm trying to come up with a good example for that, but I can't think of anything atm where it's really obvious to observe. Maybe because it's already dark here. Anyway! If you've more questions I'm trying my best to help! <3
Aww, that blue one with the starry sky should've been my last work of 2017, but I haven't finished it in time. Now I'm thinking it's not fitting the season anymore because there's no snow outside. Though, there wasn't really a lot of snow this winter, maybe only 3 days; it's way to warm outside for snow anyway. I'm very sad that there's no winter here anymore, I miss the snowy weather. Give me some of your US blizzards please! xD So that I'm in the right mood to continue drawing on it, hehe.
Yep! I really need to get out of my comfort zone with colors and I'll continue working on that! :D It's still very hard for me, but I try.
Naww, thank you! <3 I usually try to add fins/horns wherever I feel they would make the design look more interesting, so seen as a whole the shape of the head looks consistent and good. ^-^
