After drawing Lineart for another Adopt two nights ago, I thought about the background of my whole 'Pulsefire Beast' concept a bit more~
So, PLS read the info below if you're interested <3

Since I fell in love with this fella, I'm still reluctant to give it away... that's why I'll start with rather high prices, sorry T-T

PULSEFIRE BEAST - BACKGROUND INFO INCOMING:

The traits that all my 'pulsefire' themed adopts until now had were basically;
- (spider) webs
- 'dissolving' body parts that are (partly) replaced by plasma/concentrated energy
(- and horns, but that's not important for my following idea)

Since they all have this, I began to think of 'Pulsefire' as some kind of (otherworldly) virus. It takes the energy that lingers in the dissolved body parts and turns them into pure energy/plasma, leaving the infected being with more power than before.
So basically, they sacrifice (willingly or unwillingly) parts of their body to become more powerful.

The way to get 'infected' with Pulsefire is simple; shards of the 'Pulsefire Crystal' need to get in contact with a being's blood and flesh to start spreading the 'virus' or energy.
However, only few of the Beings being infected with Pulsefire survive the process that can take up to 10 years. It depends on how adaptive their immune system and body is.

[So the ones that are really greedy just ram the shards(if they find one of course, because the mineral is really rare] into their own back. However, since surviving Pulsefire is unlikely, some Beings tend to use Pulsefire Crystals to make their weapons - that way the attacked being has a higher chance of dying if they survive the initial attack.]


~ABOUT THE ADOPTABLE~

This Adopt is a so-called 'Apprentice'. She/he has been infected with Pulsefire and is now waiting for their fate to be revealed. However, parts of the transformation have already begun, hence the unusual 'tail and glow.
The ball of energy floating above his/her head is the energy of a master. A being that has already survived the Virus and is now protecting an underling in the hope to see them survive and have them as an ally in hard times.
