Here's a quick snapshot of some of the many "funny animal" comics that have survived my many moves from California-Oklahoma-Kansas and Texas over the decades. (thanks to Mom & Dad for keeping them at their house for years!)
Back in the mid 80's thanks to the success of TMNT there was a huge boom of indie B&W comics. I was lucky enough to live in a town (Wichita KS) with a great comic book store (Prairie Dog Comics) that stocked them.
Many of the Artists and the fans of these comics helped start of this crazy thing called the Furry Fandom. Fans of these comics started getting together at Sci-Fi and Anime cons in the 80's, and then they started their own conventions. And it just kept growing. I wish we had more comics like these now!
