Well,  BirdofBlack and I are working on making Dungeons and Dragons stats for many of the characters of The Wizard of Oz. This is what we got when we added the Flying and Monstrous templates to a monkey.

An arboreal monkey the size of a house cat, you'd not soon guess that something so small as this could be a danger to you. Typically flying monkeys are friendly and open to visitors in their forests and mountains, however if they feel threatened they'll emit a sonic screech and attack. They have a wing span of about 3-4 feet when they're young, but this can eventually grow to 6 feet. Flying monkeys are often captured by groups and organizations for use as both alarms and defense.

Combat

Flying monkeys generally flee into the safety of trees, (or simply the sky, if no trees are near) but if cornered can fight ferociously.
Sonic Howl (Su): The key ability score for Sonic Howl is Constitution, a successful Reflex save at a DC 11 halves the damage. Once every 2d4 rounds, a flying monkey can emit a 30-foot cone of sonic energy. Any creature hit by the sonic howl is allowed a Reflex save for half damage.
Skills: Flying monkeys have a +8 racial bonus on Balance and Climb checks. They can always choose to take 10 on climb checks, even if rushed or threatened. They use their Dexterity modifier instead of their Strength for Climb checks.
