Thank you. I try my best, and I've worked hard to improve over the years, but this is still nowhere near good enough. I have to step up my game if I want the furry community to become aware of my work.

Thank you so much for your kind words, I wish the numbers backed them up. The truth is, beside being geographically isolated in terms of the community, I am also awful at networking. You see, I tend to pick my friends and acquaintances using silly criteria such as "they make me smile", "they respect me as a person", "they have a lot in common with me" or "they warm up my heart" instead of actually useful things such as "how far ahead in the pecking order they can carry me" or "how many new followers I can get from them by association". So I end up with a bunch of amazing friends who i love and wholeheartedly dedicate myself to, but who are relatively useless in terms of career advancement. Pretty pathetic, right? :P

Not to sound harsh. But yeah.. you realize you have over... 1300 watchers right? That's 13x the amount I have

I am aware of the number, and I am intensely grateful to every single person who has deemed my work worthy of following. They lent me their attention, and so I feel that I should also give them mine in proportion, and that is why I make an effort to reply to every single comment I get, not only here but also in DeviantArt and my other presences.

However, my goal is to be able to be able to provide for at least myself (and preferably for my family as well) as a freelance artist, and in a market where prestige equals demand, these numbers are nowhere near enough to achieve that. I'll keep on striving to achieve that objective by improving my skills, and by trying to captivate as many people as possible with my works, despite my shortcomings. I sincerely hope that this is more than a pipe dream.

I hope you're able to achieve your goals as well, whichever they may be. If you feel that there is something I can reasonably do to help, feel free to talk to me about it. :)

You could just say... You wanna get paid enough to support you and your family with your art. Why not get a job in it.

Where I live, and considering my body of work, I would be extremely hard-pressed to find such a job.

This is a lovely piece of Stella and her family. It's always important to be spend time with your kids, and she is going a wonderful job keeping them all happy. The Machado family must be really nice to also let her head to college to be a teacher
