A quick explanation about why humans are anthros in this world,

After trapping the monsters underground, humans realized that their magic abilities were getting weaker. There was stories about how some humans permanently regained their magic. When everyone heard this they were overjoyed and imitated those humans to regain their magic. However, when they did, they all became an anthropomorphic variant of the animal that matched their personalities and habits. This effect settled into their dna and made humans forced to live like this. Overtime, like all change, they got used to it and it became normal. However they had to return to the ways of strong king&queen rulers as all elected leaders were offed by criminals more powerful.
