An allosaurus munching on a camptosaurus while her buddy waits politely for leftovers.
This is a diorama at the Smithsonian museum. It's been there since I was a little demon and badly wanted to climb into and play with the toylike little dinosaurs, and I'm sure it's been around a lot longer than that. I love it, but I also find it hilarious that the Smithsonian would have a diorama with such badly outdated depictions of the dinosaurs. There are scads of terrific artists producing amazingly lifelike models, and I bet most of them would pay the museum to be displayed (I would!). Ah well . . . I'm 35 and I *still* want to play with the dinosaurs.
This photo was good chop practise - the original was terribly washed out and parts were obscured by glass reflection. It look pretty damn seamless now, tho.

I admit, I do have a deep affection for the lumbering lizardy dinosaurs of my childhood. They were awkward and hopeless and nerdy, while the new dinosaurs are lean and sleek and colorful and remind me of the mean cool kids in school. And I love, love, love Charles Knight.
A "then and now" themed exhibit would be awesome, though.
