This is our beloved canine pal Keeshaba, on the front porch in last years big snowstorm.
We recently took her to the vet, to finally get a bump on her butt checked out. He tells me that she has some type of benign tumor growing on her rump. It may be a lipoma, but he's not sure. Samples taken by needle aspiration have returned inconclusive results, so he is recomending that it be removed. The lump is slowly growing, and it's now about the size of a tennis ball. Don't worry, Keeshaba doesn't seem to be in any discomfort. But I have scheduled surgery to have the lump excised soon in February. This is a major medical bill that Skwirl and I are going to have a lot of trouble keeping up with.... I am trying a thing I really don't feel comfortable to do, and that'sbeg ask for donations. I have set up a GoFundMe site to ask If anyone can help: just a little bit, I will be thankful, Skwirl will be thankful, and especially Keeshaba will Thank You!

I wouldn't do it. I had a lump removed from my dog and it came back. He was in a lot of pain from what it took to remove it and didn't have any pain when it was there. It took him over a month to heal from the cuts. He is a 9 yo Corgi and doing just fine with his lump. I was told by another tech that it was a fatty lump which occurs in older dogs. Just my experience with this and you can decide what you want to do.
