Eyyyyyy it's been a while since the last bat spam, so here ya go. And fully traditional, which we don't see often. I decided to try using my red sharpie for the string to make my life easier. But it was still highly experimental since I didn't know if it would remain visible or if the contrast might even be too strong and look ugly, yet in the end I think it worked out really well.
As for what the fucky is going on here, well, first off this was mostly just a random idea that popped into my mind, however it is also heavily symbolic of stuff that happens in the story. As for what exactly it means, that is up to you to figure out, you're free to guess and theorize and share your ideas in the comments. I was wondering whether to even post it due to possible spoilers, however I realized given that it has a lot of personal symbolism it would be very hard to actually accurately guess what this image really represents. Not even the title gives it away fully. The only hint I am going to give is that the red string is also a personal symbol that shows up in my art every now and then, and it is not a reference to the "red thread of fate", I thought I better clear that up right away since it is a popularly used symbol and one I actually never use. So that legendary red thread would have been one massive red herring.
Also, I think the one thing I'm really proud of in this image is that I actually got it properly centered for once, a decade of drawing and never learned to properly center stuff on paper. This was a friggin miracle.
