Part of the intro of 'Blue Rain'. After years of preparation and training Halmar is finally being deployed.
Started as a sketch but decided to finish this and try some new Ideas for night scenes. Apparently, I love night time scenery a lot so expect a lot of darkness up ahead!

Well, when I mean big I usually mean that a comic's setting is based on an original design, as opposed to 'small' stories which are usually based on the real world, but with furries thrown in as a natural aspect of our universe, in order to avoid having to go through the trouble of making an entirely new universe to fit all of these fictional elements into. At least, that's how I tend to separate furry comics into.
GOD DIDLY DAMN this scene is bloody GORGIOUS LOOKING! I mean wow, if it hadn't been for the speech bubbles I would have sworn this was a screenshot taken straight out of a high budget anime movie. (or at least a anime movie that actually would make sense)
I just can't stop staring the concrete of all thing, it might seem like a bit silly thing to compliment on but the red lighting combined with the excellent texture just makes the concrete look so believable that everything else seems almost fake in comparison =P
but yea most of all I'm super impressed at how you structured the scene, the attention if fully on the truck and it's red sign before the attention starts notices all the other details. I love how much dept is added by adding that officer up so close to the viewer and blurring him. (something I really should try sometime) (also great idea to make his glow stick orange as it pulls less attention from the viewer than a red one. )
but yea I feel you really outdid yourself here! amazing work man =)

Thank you for THAT amount of appreciation. The concrete floor is the part I liked the most since that's what has brought this deep perspective into the picture. It was very dull lookings before that.
So you my day but I think you went Ned Flanders for a second there. lol

No words needed for... this SO AMAZING! The whole atmosphere in this picture is just... WOW *__* I love how you done the wet concrete slabs, with the red light reflections. Looks like a hell(-time) work to do!
The cold shine of the neon lights, the wet evening weather and armed border troopers... the scene has something heavy, overwhelming. The harbingers of something terrible...
