Like an hour give or take on most of them. Some designs take a lot longer depending on the complexity of my idea but the halloween sweaters were pretty easy once I got the base knit pattern knocked out.

Hells yeah! I actually made the codes in the game, there is a little pixel editor built in and in new leaf you can share them with other players via QR code. You unlock a "sewing machine" that lets you convert QR codes into in-game stuff and vice versa.

Yeah new leaf introduced different faces on the clothing and a lot of great features but there was rudimentary pixel design in the previous games too. the new mobile game doesn't have custom content like that yet and I'm not sure if they will end up implementing it but the community has made some amazing stuff for new leaf at least.
