The aim of the picture was to control light in the situation while also representing a mythos. In this case I picked the mythos of Fenrir, specifically when tied down. Fenrir had to be tied down by a specific kind of rope and thread as represented by the thread as ordinary chains did not hold him (although they attached a chain to the rope like binding in order to keep the rope and Fenrir trapped on an island in isolation). The light was used to highlight the wolf statue as the main focus in Fenrir’s isolation and biding and also created an interesting moon effect in the background using a flashlight.
All of which had to be planned out, angled and done at night in order to get the dark and interesting effect of it all.
I dimmed down the brightness of the ‘moon’ by selecting the area, using float and using the Brightness-Contrast tool to turn down its harshness.
