Each APES class from the different schools in Anne Arundle county puts together a group of reliable kids who know stuff about each section in the Evirothon competition. There were five sections.
-Wildlife - You look at pictures and have to tell the proctors that animals Complete scientific name while looking through a book/Answer hard ass questions about different wildlife issues/Do map questions (really hard to explain the map questions)
-Aquatics- You answer a whole bunch of questions about the different water issues and other really hard trivia like questions/dissect a fish and name and explain all of its inner and outer parts
-Forestry- You do logging stuff, like using different tools to determine how high a tree is with out ACTUALLY measuring it from the ground up and you determine how many logs can be made from it/identify different species of trees.
-Ground/Dirt- Oh gawd. This was the worst. Honestly. You get into a pit of dirt and answer a bunch of questions about the dirt itself/identify the different levels of dirt types/and do pH tests on each different level/answer questions about different land issues like how, where, and when placing different buildings is best for the environment.
-5th Issue- The essay part that touches down on ALL TYPES of different Enivronmental issues.
My group ended up placing specialties on each kid in my group depending on which part they are best with. I got Wildlife and some Aquatics.
It was a really, really fun competition. My school's group came in second place.

Congrats on second place! My school didn't do anything even close to that cool. :C But as a school we were pretty decent at sports.
