Sometimes I start thinking about what would happen if one of my OCs did not exist in her canon setting, but rather was from a completely different time and place. In this case a fantasy setting came to mind. For some characters it is easy - Seida would be a fierce warrior and Gen would probably be an apothecary. In Mei's case I ended up settling on that she would probably be a priestess of some kind.

I reached out to two artists to see what their take on Mei as a priestess could look like - this being the version by MsDoeEyed. I really like how it turned out, and I think that it probably would be the right fit for fantasy-setting Mei.
