i started having my doubts after the whole 'ex wife' thing. i get his relationship with andy is purely friends with benefits , but it's something andy wont exactly be totally ok with. at least that's how i feel about it.

For me- I tend to like things becoming serious once you're attached to the character. That's not to say Game of Thrones serious where everyone dies (not a fan)- but just things getting extra weight.

Sure, but spooky shadowy dealings and "oh no turns out he's evil" reveals aren't serious; they're goofy and tone-deaf. Again, I do geeenerally trust that this won't really end up going that far, but this page certainly does get me suspicious.

I'd agree if it just turns out "Oh, he evil, boi!" I'd be disappointed x3 But I wouldn't consider that serious, either. I guess only time will tell x3 And they're releasing pages so fast it doesn't look like such a long wait.

If I'd have to guess this is some kind of escort possibly hired by Andy's boss to seduce Cooper eliminating Cooper as a possible threat. Then Andy finds out and they ironically break up over it Andy goes with Cooper before Cooper settles for his suductor

OK, maybe I'm missing something here, but this first page seems to be completely unrelated to any of the characters or events we've seen in the first volume of the comic. Just wondering where all the wild assumptions come from... ?

It's a very effeminate gay male talking to Emery. Which isn't confirmed, but I'm calling it now. Emery would rather have someone willing to take his dick without complaints, I'm guessing.

Looks like a young woman, and she seems to work at this diner. And judging by the conversation, she's looking to make some extra money, or start a new career in the erotic film industry or something similar. Not sure why everyone assumes she's ( or he's ) a prostitute, or how exactly Emery would be involved in any of this. If Emery was just looking for an easy lay, he sure made things complicated with the way he approached Andy. Pretty sure this is a completely new character, and not related to the rest of the comic for now, but Jackaloo will eventually bring it all together. I haven't seen any pages beyond this one, so I could be wrong, but it seems people keep making up stuff because they don't like character X, or would rather see pairing XY. *shrug*

You and I seem to be interpreting this the same way. It's early times though, and as you say, our friend Jackaloo knows where it's going.

Sometimes part of the fun of following a serial like this is in the other readers' predictions and speculations, as long as we don't presume to tell the writer what to write. Jackaloo himself has professed to enjoy that. In any event, I'm excited that it's begun, and I know I'm going the enjoy the ride.

Love your comics! I know your not giving spoilers nor am I going to ask. I've followed you for a few years now, and if I may make a prediction, that character is from one of your first comics. That is FROY if I'm not mistaken.
