Well... since I don't have time to submit anything "artistic" here, why shouldn't I just show you some of my other hobbies?
Many of you know, that I love music. That I MAKE music! Sure, I'm a music teacher!! *grins*
And yes, I do have my own "music room" upstairs in the attic. As you can see, I'm a nerd for music intruments and I love to collect (and play!) it.
Oh, yes... I can play all these instruments. Though I'm not a master on the guitar or drums, I'm determined to learn it! ^..^

XD Okies, thanks for the comment. :) About the Xylophone again... for the "tune-boards" (sound pieces) I have used the handle of an axe!! XD No kidding.
I have bought 3 axes without the blade... and cut the handle into several pieces. This kind of wood had a fantastic sound! Weird, huh? But in the end, they made very nice pieces for the Xylophone! And it sounds almost like the original one. ^..^

Zither is the usual term for an instrument type like that, although it really depends on the country ;) in China they call theirs a GuZheng, in Japan it's the Koto, all different in shape and tonality but still of the same family.
I love their sound too, it can be so relaxing, the other day I took mine onto the roof of our building and played it to a sunrise, it was quite romantic xD somehow it even attracted seagulls and pidgeons who were quiet until I stopped playing :P

Thanks very much! :) Yeah, but when I play the drums or the Bass, you can hear it in the whole house!!!!! XD
Anyway, it's really cool. I also plan to get myself a good recording set and... then I can add these REAL instruments to my "artificially" created songs! That would be something, wouldn't it? :D

Well, I don't mind the "artificial sounds" from my keyboards... but a REAL "E-Guitar"... and REAL drums or chimes... are just prizeless. No chip can do it perfect! There are good approximations... but nothing is perfect. :)
And I got these instruments for another reason: Since I am a music teacher (and I will most likely get to teach the school band)... I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY various intruments, should I not??? XD

I have not learned the guitar by a teacher... but for myself. If you know the strings and if you know where and how to hold the accords, you can really learn the guitar by yourself!!!
Oh, btw... BASS GUITAR is easiest to learn by yourself. :) Only 4 strings.

and the E-drum kit I just RECENTLY bought (600$), maybe 2-3 months ago, and every day since i moved ive played it X3
before i had it to practice on, i only had Rock Band back at my family home, and surprise surprise, it helped me TONS with learning beats and coordination! :D

I love collecting instruments AND of course I'm trying to play these. Right now - I've learned to play Keyboards (by a teacher) - I'm learning drums and guitars on my own. And it works pretty well!
