So it's my friend's birthday today and I thought I'd make her a little something.
When she came on MSN last night I was finishing off the pencil work for this little thing. A suprise present for her because I'm broke and she loves Red Eyes.
Once I got the idea for the drawing down it was suprisingly easy. It was the concepts that took forever to go through. My first idea was a guy wearing Red Eyes based armour, but then I remembered that I'm crap at drawing guys. I left out a lot of the spikes on her body because I was using artwork from the card as a reference, so it was sort of difficult to see exactly where certain spikes were protruding from. I also left out the nose/mouth because when I tried to draw it, she simply looked like a demonic chicken of sorts.
Oh. And. Holy shit! Coloured pencils! =O
I'm pleased with how this came out. I'm just hoping she'll like it as much. =3
Once I figure out how, I may make a Blue Eyes one to compliment it. I started this pretty late, so it was like... 3am by the time I decided I also wanted to draw a Blue Eyes anthro.
